The food is always that fresh especially for the oysters and crab legs. Had quite a couple of osyters and they tasted so sweet and fresh. However I do prefer the way that Oscar's at Conrad serve their oysters. They do not place the oysters on the plate while the customers can pick up freely and quickly. They will open the number of oysters on the spot according to your request. And I feel that it is much fresher in this way.
Crabs, mussels, scallops
Mini lobsters and Alaska crab legs
Oysters
They have about 5-6 varieties of sashimi to choose from. I've tried the salmon, maguro and tako.
Sushi, Soba
there was no chawamushi which was quite a big disappointment to me.
Mini Burgers, Hash Brown, Pizza
Roasted Prime Rib
Tempura
I was surprised that they do not have any prawn tempura that day. Am not sure if they serve that normally.
Cooked Asian Food
Dim sum and Ginseng root chicken soup
Indian Cuisine (Naan, vegetable curry, chick tikka, papadum)
Local cusine (Prawn noodle, fishballl noodle, lor mee, laksa, wanton mee)
Dessert!
Nonya kueh
Chocolate Fondue
Fresh fruits
We had lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The normal price is $98++ per person. We made a booking online via Shangri La website and got a 25% discount. So the total bill for 5 adults and 1 senior citizen after discount was about $510. I have to say that the price is indeed a little too steep for lunch when it is not totally perfect. Examples liked the lack of chawamushi and praw tempura is already a minus point. You have to request from the service staffs for dessert spoons, they do not display them outside for you. They have entertainment such as a friendly lady balloon maker who walks around to offer making balloons of any shapes that you request for. And its totally free! It is not only applicable to the kids. It can be done for anybody.
