Palio

Located at RWS and this is my 4th visit to this Italian Restaurant. I often patronized the place when I'm at RWS and wanted to find somewhere for some comfortable decent dinner.

Complimentary bread

Soup of the day (Minestrone)

The minestrone is rich with the taste of tomatoes and there are chunks of vegetables like broccoli in the soup.

Price: $12

Porcini

The mushroom soup is thick and creamy. If you are a fan of mushroom soup, this will be a must try for you. You are able to taste little bites of mushrooms too.

Price: $14

Prsociutto e Melon

This is my favorite antipasti and one of the must order when I have Italian food. The ham and the melon goes perfectly well together when you taste the saltiness and sweetness together.

Price: $20

Prosciutto e Funghi

The crust of the pizza is thin and crispy. It is tomato sauce based with mushroom, mozzarella cheese and cooked ham. Although it is not as good as the one at Pepperoni (that's my personal opinion), it is also one of the better that I have tasted. It's definitely worth giving it a try.

Price: $26

Pici con Aragostelle e Zucchine allo Zafferano

The pastas are homemade and fresh. This is eggless Pici pasta (a thick hand rolled pasta liked a fat spaghetti) cooked with crayfish meat and zucchini in Iranian Saffron Pistils cream sauce.

Price: $28

Addictions Cafe and Remedy Bar

Located at The Dining Edition in Marina Square. It is at the side whereby Marks and Spencer is. There are a couple of new restaurants and it is not difficult to spot Addictions among the restaurants given its clean and modern layout.

I love the design of the menu which is presented with a piece of paper on a piece of board. The little details and carvings on the board really amazed me with how much effort was put in just on a piece of menu that many restaurants have neglected.

Truffle Fries

There was nothing special or worth mentioning about the truffle fries. It tasted just like how many average restaurants would have prepared them. I will not suggest to spend $10 on this.

Price: $10

Papardelle with fresh squid, prawn and chargrilled egg plant in tomato basil sauce

I was excited when I see Papardelle under the pasta section. I love thick and long pasta after my first try in Italy last year. It's not easy to find such pasta in most restaurants. The tomato base sauce is a tad too sour for my liking. I couldn't finish the entire plate as it was really too sour. I believe the pasta are not handmade and the texture is not as good too. I felt that the price is a little too expensive for the taste.

Price: $23

Linguine with crab meat in cherry tomato sauce

Once again the sauce is too sour. I don't think the sauce used for both pasta are identical but it got to be somewhat similar.

Price: $23

I am not sure if I will come back again, but if I did, I will never order the pasta again.

Parco Caffe

Tucked in the corner of Raeburn Park which is located around Outram. I wouldn't have come across this place if not for a friend who is working there. According to my friend, this is where the old Gan Eng Seng Secondary school is located.

I love the deco of the restaurant. It's looks clean and white. Everything looks simple yet classy.

They do not serve you the usual complimentary bread that most similar restaurants do. Instead they serve this deep fried dough thing. I don't know what is it call but it is delicious! That explains why I only remember to take a picture of it after finishing almost half the plate. Dip it in the salsa sauce given, and you just can't stop eating it!

Mozzarella Caprese e Parma

Buffalo Mozzarella served with Parma ham, tomatoes, lettuce and olives. A good starter to kick off the meal with. The ingredients used are fresh and they go perfectly well with one another. However according to B, the mozzarella is still not as good as those we had in Italy.

Price: $20

Tagliolini Neri Al Granchio

The squid ink pasta is homemade, thus explain the freshness. It is serve with deep fried soft shell crab, cherry tomatoes and asparagus and lobster bisque. Anytime for another plate of this. I like it!

Price: $23

Parco Caffe Tagliatelle Sull'Anatra

Homemade Tagliatelle served with Chianti wine, marinated duck and black olives. It is tagged with Chef's recommendation for this pasta. Well indeed a great recommendation. I love fresh and homemade pasta. The texture is very different as compared to those dried pasta easily available in any supermarkets.

Price: $18

Prawn Aglio Olio

My friend requested for a out of menu pasta and they did it for her. It's just as nice, prawns used were fresh. I greatly recommend this place for the food, service and also the ambiance.
