For those you who are planning to visit Sydney do check out
Cafe Sopra @ Fratelli Fresh Waterloo. It is located at Danks street and I was
told that it's a hidden gem, indeed very hidden.
We took a metro train alighted at what we figured out to be
the nearest metro station from Café Sopra, which is the Redfern station. We
totally had no idea where it was located at but thank god for GPS!
Café Sopra is located above this warehouse, but we were clueless on how to get up! With the help of the staff from the warehouse, we managed to find the stairs hidden behind a wall.
Simple setting, with black board menu.
It was 10.30 in the morning, hence the empty seats. There was a long queue when we left at 12. Glad we came early.
Everybody was standing infront of the blackboard deciding on what to order.
We had Crispy polenta with mushroom & gorgonzola sauce, Parmesan crumbed chicken scallopine with sopra coleslaw and cappuccino.
Crispy polenta with mushroom and gorgonzola sauce
I heard it is one of their popular dish and it is my favorite as well. The sauce is creamy and cheesy, cheese lovers will definitely love it!
Cafe Sopra's Parmesan crumbled chicken was too tough and dry for my liking. Not for people who have weak teeth.
Food: 4/5 Burps (for the crispy polenta)
Service: 3/5 Burps
Price: 3.5/5 Burps
