Trattoria Dei Magnani Al Cantinone

We were in Milan for about 3-4 days last November before we headed to Rome. We have done quite a bit of research on where we should eat through my favorite tripadvisor. With the help of unlimited data usage, we had our GPS on each time we need to look for an exact location. With GPS, you will never lost your way again especially when you are on a foreign land.

There are actually 2 different entrances to this restaurant. One of them leads you to the restaurant which is the one I am reviewing on and another is the side for the mini buffet. Its more of a casual dining area where you order you food at the counter and it is cheaper too.

Papp cinghiale

This tomato based, flat and broad pasta looks a bit like the horfun we have in Singapore. Believe we don't get to see or try this often in Singapore. The texture is good and as Italian pasta is generally a little harder and doesn't feels that it is 100% cooked, you may not get used to it the first time you try the pasta in Italy. However to my surprise, the texture for this dish is really good. It is cooked with generous chunks of boar meat.

Price: 12 Euro

Spaghetti continone

This tomato based spaghetti with quite a strong taste of sardine is topped with this chunks of white chewy mozzarella.

Price: 12 Euro

Polenta funghi

The watery polenta is relatively bland but if eaten together with the sauteed mushroom and shaved cheese, it tasted pretty good.

Address: Via Agnello, 19 - 20121 Milano
